WHY ANCIENT EGYPT?

This burning question comes flying at me like a boomerang. Some genuinely want to know why I chose to embark on a journey of unraveling the mysteries of the gods. Others skip asking me anything and dub me a thief and tell me I am “blackwashing” a culture and calling it my own. Let me make one thing clear: the only culture I'm interested in claiming as my own is the fun times between 1999 and 2005. Good music, movies, and being offended was an offense! Ah, those were the days! But stay on track, that's a topic for another riveting discussion.

So, why Egypt, you ask? Well, in school (or at least in good ol' USA, I can't vouch for other countries), we breeze through Egypt as if it were a mere pit stop on our historical road trip. The same thing happens in Sunday school, for those of you who are churchgoers like me. Egypt was always lurking in the shadows of history, quietly minding its own business, in my opinion. No matter what we were learning about, that ancient civilization was just there. I felt like a nosy neighbor peering out my upstairs window. And that's where my curiosity kicked in, always yearning for more. Who were the Egyptians quickly mentioned in studies? Why have other grand structures crumbled with time, yet the Sphinx and Pyramids still stand tall and proud? What do all those intriguing symbols mean? Sure, there were a handful of action-packed movies and a plethora of documentaries that regurgitated the same information, but my thirst for knowledge was unquenchable. I craved more, be it in the form of captivating books, mind-expanding films, or just some good old-fashioned fun facts about the gods themselves.

Now, no offense to those fancy scholars and Egyptologists out there (although I'm sure someone will take offense anyway), but I'm convinced there's so much more to those ancient records than meets the eye. Let's face it, we'll probably never uncover the whole truth in this lifetime. So, what could I do with very little? Simple really. Write what I wanted to read. That is the answer.

I crafted a tale that had everything I wanted to read. Picture this: A gripping, fictitious adventure that transports readers into a realm of endless possibilities. A world where gods and goddesses come to life in a way that's relatable to us mere mortals, all while intertwining with their epic creation stories. I mean, seriously, if the Egyptian Gods were the OGs and their humans came second, how the heck did that all go down? What went wrong? And why on earth was Tut's tomb the grand finale of magical discoveries?

If you're still reading this, then my friend, An Egyptian Tale: Amulets of Princess Amun-Ra is where you need to begin your journey. Prepare to have your mind blown and your imagination set on fire. Keep up with me. This is where the secrets of ancient Egypt start to unravel, and where your thirst for knowledge meets the thrill of a damn good story. So, grab a copy, dive in, and get ready to embark on an adventure like no other. The truth might still be out of reach, but who needs it when you can have a wild ride through the realm of pure imagination? Wonka said that, not me.

In this magnificent tale "Amulets of Princess Amun-Ra Vol 1," readers are introduced to the audacious 13-year-old Princess of Egypt, Izzi-Ra Urbani. Let it be known, dear reader, that Iz-Eye-Rah shall not be addressed as Izzy, she will hate you for it. Izzi-Ra discovers that the course of her life was never hers to chart. Her illustrious father, the Pharaoh, has made a bold decree - she shall be married off and dispatched to a humble village, where she shall reign. But lo and behold, her fate is further entwined with that of a commoner named Neenho, hailing from a traitorous village. And as if that weren't enough, the gods themselves have laid their celestial hands upon our young heroine!

The tale grows even wilder in Vol 2 with the plight of the adolescent Egyptians, burdened with the arduous task of locating the lost amulets of Amun-Ra himself. These mystical artifacts hold the key to unraveling the enigma of their divine connection. But beware, for the gods have no desire to see these amulets retrieved. Moreover, there lurks a nefarious individual who covets the power of the amulets, harboring dark intentions to send Izzi and Neenho on a premature journey to the underworld. With hearts ablaze and unyielding determination, Izzi and Neenho embark on a perilous odyssey across their lands. Their mission: to secure the amulets before the gods and their would-be assassin. You will have to read if you want more,   dear reade

My Egyptian Tale Series is a whimsical narrative where magic, charm, and amusement intertwine. Think of these tales as an expedition through a historical backdrop that will transport readers into unknown realms. Well, that is what I aspire to do. Oh and let me be clear, my creation does not aim to assert any claim of heritage or present any semblance of truth. Just like the fantastical realm of  Mordor, my world is purely fictional, yet it possesses a tangible essence that rivals Frodo's epic odyssey. If you admire the majestic monuments scattered throughout present-day Egypt, ponder the wondrous possibilities they represent. So, grab my book, tune out the world around you, and sink into the enchanting notion of "WHAT IF''...
