MEET VERANICE

Born in Chicago but raised in Las Vegas, Veranice's imagination is as colorful and big as the cities she lived in. She found her voice when she was young; writing short stories in elementary school was her outlet. As a teenager, she geeked out in Creative Writing, Mythology, and English classes. Her fascination with gods, realms, and the limitless possibilities of the imagination has always kept her curious and engaged. Of all the ancient civilizations, it was Egypt that captivated her the most with its historical monuments and unanswered questions. Interestingly, her name, Var-Ra-Niece, contains the name of the ancient Egyptian god, Ra. While some may see this as a mere coincidence, she thinks not. Writing is not just a hobby for her, but a true passion that brings her immense joy and fulfillment. The tales she has created are a product of her imagination, intended to be purely fictional creations that explore the depths of the human imagination. Veranice now resides in San Diego with her two daughters. Amulets of Princess Amun-Ra are her debut novels. Book of Thoth are the next sets in her six-part tale through her imaginative version of life through Ancient Egypt. When she is not writing (while listening to all music under the sun) she enjoy all things Disney with her two girls and watching scary movies.

“When you tell a tale, do you feel what the listener actually feels? We blindly put ourselves in other slippers and imagine what their adventurous tales must have been like. But what actually happened? How you tell it and what the listener hears and feels, is different.” - Book of Thoth-Vol 3.
